Anyone paying attention to the last Street Fighter 5 trailer should know that M. Bison, aka Dictator, is the newest addition to the roster, but I doubt they expected how many new tricks he'd have up his sleeve. Sure, he looks like the same old Bison (except what's up with that gray hair?), but much like with Charlie before him, it seems the folks at Capcom saw fit to take some liberties with his play style. I'm all about that, so let's dive into what's new!
Staying on his normals, of course he still has his long-range, low-hitting slide. But in the trailer, when he hits the slide, Charlie goes rag-dolling end over end through the air, giving Bison a chance to juggle with what looks like a short range version of the psycho orb projectile he's had in some previous games. It's already clear from what we've seen that juggles are a bigger part of this game than they were in Street Fighter 4, but it still seems odd. It's worth noting that this was off a max-distance sweep, so maybe he won't have time to juggle at other spacings.
M. Bison is the fourth character to be revealed for Street Fighter 5 since its unveiling last December. He joins Ryu, Chun Li, and Charlie Nash.
Street Fighter 5 will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PC, and is expected to be released in early 2016.
